Justin Stevens’ gift of life insurance ensures future support for Nazareth

Justin Stevens ’09 and FamilyJustin Stevens ’09 discovered the value of community during his time at Nazareth College. He says it felt like home from the very first visit: “People made eye contact, smiled at me, and made me feel great.”

Justin, a current member of the board of trustees, is committed to remaining connected as an alum. He said his involvement expanded and changed by being open to the opportunities in front of him. Attending events, taking phone calls from students, correspondence with former professors, remaining in touch with college friends: Justin said that “just saying yes” has allowed him to continue to enjoy the sense of community that offered him so much as an undergraduate student.

And, in turn, he’s giving back. Justin and his wife opted to name the College as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. It means that a modest annual premium will add up to a significant planned gift. Investing in a life insurance policy also offers the flexibility to make changes over time—which is important for a person with a young family like Justin who is still relatively early in his career.

Justin’s planned gift will support Nazareth’s highest priorities, available for the College to determine its best use. Unrestricted giving allows Nazareth the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Knowing that Nazareth’s needs will evolve over time, Justin likes knowing that his gift will advance the mission of the College—however it is used.
